Tanzanite got its name because it resembles the blue sky at dusk in Tanzania. This lot is more lavender-like in color than blue. It's semi-transparent, so when you pass a gold pin through it, it sparkles from the inside, giving it a luxurious feel. Since it is machine cut, it is uniformly cut and beautiful.
